What’s Tested

fatigue blood test  is a group of laboratory tests designed to identify potential medical causes of persistent tiredness or low energy. This panel checks for a wide range of issues that can contribute to fatigue, including anemia, vitamin deficiencies, metabolic or hormonal imbalances, thyroid problems, infections, and chronic diseases.

This panel is a comprehensive approach to uncovering the root causes of persistent tiredness, checking for a variety of nutritional, metabolic, hormonal, and organ-related issues that could be impacting your energy level.

What’s being tested:

CBC (Complete Blood Count): Measures red and white blood cells and platelets. It helps detect anemia (a common cause of fatigue), infections, and some blood disorders.

CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel): Assesses blood sugar, electrolytes, kidney function, and liver function. Abnormalities can indicate diabetes, dehydration, kidney or liver disease, all of which may cause tiredness.

Thyroid Function Tests (TSH, T4, sometimes T3): Evaluates how well your thyroid gland is working. Thyroid hormones regulate metabolism, energy, and mood. Both underactive (hypothyroidism) and overactive (hyperthyroidism) thyroid can cause fatigue.

Iron Studies (Iron, Ferritin, TIBC): Checks iron levels and storage. Low iron or ferritin can lead to iron-deficiency anemia, a frequent reason for feeling tired.

A1C (Hemoglobin A1C): Shows your average blood sugar over the past 2–3 months. High A1C indicates poor glucose control, which can cause fatigue and is a key marker for diabetes and prediabetes

The fatigue test panel is a valuable diagnostic tool that offers a wide-ranging evaluation to uncover hidden causes of tiredness. By testing blood counts, metabolic function, vitamin levels, hormone balance, and markers of inflammation or infection, it helps pinpoint the root causes of fatigue. This enables effective management and improves quality of life for patients experiencing persistent low energy.
