Do Genics Laboratories have collection center store fronts?
Our laboratory currently has several dedicated service collections centers where trained professionals collect blood and other specimens in a comfortable setting. We welcome both walk-ins and scheduled appointments to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. Our team follows strict safety and hygiene protocols to provide high-quality service. How do At-home blood collection work?
After confirming your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email or text message with all the details, and a certified phlebotomist will arrive at your selected time and locations to perform the necessary collection and securely transport the samples to our lab for analysis.
Do I need a doctor’s referral for lab testing?
In most cases, a doctor’s referral is not required for lab testing. You can order many tests directly through our online portal or by contacting our office. However, some specialized tests may still require a doctor’s authorization.
If a lab test is ordered directly from our laboratory, physician review is included in the price of the test. The laboratory is not a treating physician or in no case will be involved in interpreting the results or providing treatment. Only lab result abnormalities or elevated ranges will be communicated to you to seek medical help from your primary care physician.
Can I buy more than one test at the same time?
Yes, you can order multiple tests at the same time. When scheduling your appointment through our online portal or by phone, simply select the tests you wish to have performed. Our team will ensure that all tests are processed and results are made available to you in timely manners. If you need assistance in choosing tests, feel free to contact us!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept a wide range of insurance providers. Please contact us or refer to our website to confirm if we accept your specific insurance plan. We also offer flexible payment options for patients without insurance.
Do you accept cash payments?
While we don’t accept cash we have on site point of sale terminals that accept all major debit and credit cards also FSA and HSA cards accepted. Payment is required at the time of service or at checkout online, whether you are using insurance or paying out-of-pocket.
How long will it take to get my test results?
The time it takes to receive your results can vary depending on the type of test performed. Routine blood work may take 1-2 business days, while more specialized tests can take longer, typically between 3 to 7 days. Once your results are ready, you’ll receive a notification through our secure online portal, and you can access them at your convenience. If there are any significant findings or if your doctor needs to discuss the results with you, our team will notify you directly.
What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my mobile appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your mobile appointment, we kindly ask that you provide a 24 hour; notice. This helps us accommodate other patients and ensures that we can adjust our schedule accordingly. You can easily reschedule by contacting us directly via phone or email. If you cancel last minute or miss the appointment your prepaid mobile phlebotomy travel cost will not be refunded.
Do you offer pediatric testing services?
No, we don’t offer pediatric testing services. Minimum required age is 18 years.
What should I bring with me when I visit the lab?
When visiting our lab, please bring a valid ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and your insurance card, if applicable. If you are visiting for a specific test, it may also help to bring any relevant medical records or a referral from your doctor. For mobile appointments, please ensure the phlebotomist has access to the area where the test will be conducted and any relevant documents or instructions.
How do I know if my insurance covers the test?
We work with a wide variety of insurance plans. If you are unsure whether your insurance will cover the test, we recommend contacting your insurance plan or our office billing department.
